Mexico City, December 17, 2020 - Airbus Secure Land Communications (SLC) in Mexico has announced partnership with Samsung to provide secure communication services through it’s MXLINK platform and the new Samsung Galaxy XCover pro smartphone.

Airbus and Samsung will collaborate together to provide reliable mission-critical communication solutions for public-security forces in the country on top of a whole new communication experience for its users.

Airbus SLC in Mexico’s MXLINK secure mobile virtual network operator (SMVNO) provides a secure 4G / LTE mobile broadband service through redundant multi-operator coverage with the capacity to provide encrypted voice, messaging, data, images, video and geolocation communication. It is the very first SMVNO in Mexico and Latin America.

The new Galaxy XCover pro smartphone, recently launched by the South Korean company, is now available as a high-security certified device for use on critical-communications networks. Public-safety users such as police forces or emergency organizations will now be able to have access to a secure network and encrypted communication, with the comfort, and all the benefits a smartphone can bring.

With this alliance, Airbus’s MXLINK service will continue to expand its catalog of certified smart devices, making its service available for robust, reliable and durable smartphones, perfectly suitable for field operations, with excellent performance and a high level of functionalities. These include a large touch screen, a dedicated Push-To-Talk (PTT) button, background noise cancellation enabling loud and clear audio, long battery life, and military grade and resistance certification.

Likewise, through the MXLINK platform users will be able to count on the QPP, Quality of Service, Priority and Preemption1 in critical mission situations, being the only operator that can offer 100% reliability in access to mission critical communications, in case of any incident like earthquakes, floods and other events such as large events, to name a few.

MLINK offers complete interoperability with the National Radiocommunication Network (RNR), Tetra, P25, MexSat technologies and other radio systems. This is possible through a flexible and scalable service model, with rapid implementation, with no infrastructure investment required, and a level of service and support available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
