Shenzhen, China – September 24, 2026 — Caltta Technologies, a leading provider of professional and critical communications solutions, has announced the successful deployment of a multi-site DMR Enhanced Communication System (ECS) for a key mining group in Uzbekistan. The project was delivered in collaboration with Radiocom Holding Group, Caltta's local partner in Uzbekistan, providing the mining operator with a reliable communications infrastructure designed to support safer, more efficient and better-coordinated operations.

The deployment addresses the demanding communications requirements of large-scale mining operations, where extensive geographic coverage, complex terrain and constantly changing working environments require dependable communications between field personnel, vehicles, dispatch teams and emergency responders.

The project represents another step in Caltta's expansion across the global mining and industrial communications market, while highlighting the role of modern DMR infrastructure in strengthening operational coordination and communications resilience in challenging environments.

“Reliable communications are fundamental to safe and efficient mining operations, particularly where teams and vehicles are distributed across large and complex sites. This project demonstrates our ability to combine proven DMR technology with local expertise to deliver a communications network that can adapt to the operational realities of the mining industry. We are pleased to work with Radiocom Holding Group to support the continued digitalization of industrial communications in Uzbekistan.”

Addressing the Communications Challenges of Modern Mining

Mining operations can extend across open pits, underground workings, transportation routes and processing facilities, often covering large areas with significant variations in terrain and operating conditions. These environments can create challenges for radio communications, while changing work locations and the movement of personnel and vehicles can make maintaining consistent connectivity particularly demanding.

The mining group required a communications solution capable of connecting geographically dispersed operational areas while providing centralized coordination and supporting rapid response when incidents occur.

Caltta and Radiocom implemented a multi-site DMR ECS architecture to address these requirements. The network connects separate mining areas through an IP-based infrastructure, enabling communications resources to be coordinated across sites while providing a scalable foundation for future expansion.

From Communications Coverage to Operational Coordination

Rather than relying on isolated communications channels, the deployed solution brings together field radio communications and centralized dispatch capabilities.

The network supports voice communications for mobile and field personnel, while the PD200 dispatch platform provides the control center with real-time GPS location information, call recording and operational event logging. This gives dispatch teams greater visibility of personnel and vehicles and enables resources to be coordinated more efficiently across the mining operation.

Caltta's PR900 digital repeaters form the network infrastructure supporting communications coverage, while PM790 mobile radios are used by transport and patrol teams and PH690 portable radios support personnel working in demanding field environments. Features including AI-based noise cancellation, emergency calling and man-down alerts provide additional operational and personnel-safety capabilities.

The ECS architecture also incorporates dynamic channel allocation and load balancing to help manage network resources and reduce the potential for communications congestion.

Designed to Scale with Mining Operations

A key consideration for the project was the ability to support the mining group's future operational development.

Because the individual sites are interconnected through IP networking, additional mining areas, shafts, pits or processing facilities can be incorporated into the communications architecture as operations expand. This provides the operator with a scalable communications foundation without requiring a fundamental redesign of the network.

The approach also enables communications infrastructure to evolve alongside the mine, supporting both current operational requirements and future digital transformation initiatives.

Strengthening Local Partnership and Global Mining Expertise

Radiocom Holding Group played an important role in the successful delivery of the project, providing local market knowledge, project support and implementation expertise in Uzbekistan.

“Successful industrial communications projects depend not only on technology, but also on a strong understanding of the local operating environment and the customer's day-to-day requirements. Our collaboration with Caltta enabled us to combine local expertise with an established DMR communications platform to deliver a practical solution for a demanding mining environment.”

—Djabbarov Mirvakhid, Managing Director, Radiocom Holding Group

The successful deployment strengthens the cooperation between Caltta and Radiocom Holding Group and creates a foundation for further opportunities across Uzbekistan's mining, energy and heavy-industry sectors.

As industrial organizations increasingly seek more connected and digitally enabled operations, reliable communications are becoming an increasingly important component of operational infrastructure. Caltta will continue working with local partners and industry customers worldwide to deliver communications solutions that support connectivity, coordination, operational efficiency and safer working environments.
