Cellnex Telecom is ensuring the continuous operation of Catalonia’s critical emergency and security communications network, handling tens of millions of mission-critical interactions each year across the region’s public safety agencies.

The company manages the infrastructure and operational reliability of the Rescat Network, which supports the communications needs of Catalonia’s security and emergency services. The network facilitates more than 60 million group calls annually, enabling seamless coordination among frontline responders.

Key public safety organizations using the network include the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Bombers de la Generalitat, both of which rely on Rescat for secure and reliable communications during daily operations and emergency incidents.

In addition to voice communications, the network also processes approximately 10 million GPS position updates every day, allowing real-time location tracking of personnel and vehicles.
