Zetron, a global leader in mission critical communications technology, today announced that Esharah, a subsidiary of Nedaa, has selected its ACOM Unified Communications System (UCS) for the Dubai Metro Blue Line, one of the most significant transportation infrastructure developments in the Middle East.

The Dubai Metro Blue Line represents a major expansion of Dubai’s world class public transport network, helping to accommodate the city’s continued growth while supporting its long term vision for sustainable mobility, smart infrastructure and connected urban development.

As part of the project, Zetron will deliver a highly resilient, geo redundant ACOM Unified Communications System designed to provide seamless operational coordination across the metro network. The platform will integrate with Airbus TETRA and TASSTA Mission Critical Communications (MCX) technologies, enabling operators to manage critical communications through a single, unified operational environment.

The deployment will support operator positions across primary and backup operations control centres, as well as remote locations, providing a resilient communications platform for day-to-day operations and incident management. The solution has been designed to ensure high availability, operational continuity and scalability to support the future growth of the network.

The solution will integrate Dubai existing TETRA communications, the approved MCX platform by Authorities, telephony services, operational control interfaces, and advanced recording and reporting capabilities into a single operational environment.

This will enable operators to manage multiple communications technologies through the ACOM platform, improving operational efficiency, coordination and situational awareness across the network.

The ACOM platform’s open architecture will provide Dubai Metro operators with the flexibility to integrate both current and future communications technologies, supporting the long term evolution of the network while protecting infrastructure investment.

The project reflects the growing demand among transportation operators for unified communications environments that bring together traditional radio networks, mission critical broadband services and operational telephony into a single platform. By integrating these technologies through ACOM, operators can improve coordination, streamline communications workflows and enhance situational awareness across the network.
