[Singapore -- 15 Apr 2026] — Global-PTT, a leading innovator or narrowband and broadband communication solutions, today announced that its new G3 rugged heavy-duty device has successfully completed hardware, software, and material testing and is now entering mass production, marking a significant milestone for the company’s next-generation rugged communications portfolio.
Designed for demanding industrial and critical operations, the G3 rugged heavy-duty device is engineered to deliver reliable Push-to-Talk (PTT) communications in hazardous and extreme working environments. The device combines rugged construction, advanced safety functions, and smart positioning capabilities to support frontline personnel operating in high-risk sectors.
According to Global-PTT, the G3 features IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof protection alongside ATEX explosion-proof certification for Zone 1 & 2 gas environments and Zone 21 & 22 dust environments, making it suitable for deployment in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical processing, mining, and utilities
The device is built with an ultra-rugged housing designed to withstand harsh daily operational conditions, including heavy industrial use, exposure to dust and moisture, and physically demanding field deployments. Similar ATEX-certified rugged devices are increasingly being adopted across industrial and emergency service sectors where safety compliance and operational durability are essential.
Global-PTT has also integrated several worker safety and operational features into the G3, including an SOS emergency button and a Man Down Alarm function capable of detecting falls or inactivity. In addition, the device supports real-time GPS positioning, live location sharing, and mutual navigation between users to improve team coordination and situational awareness in the field.
“G3 is intended to provide stable and secure communications in environments where conventional consumer-grade devices may fail, including chemical plants, fuel stations, mining operations, utilities, and other hazardous industrial facilities.” Kindwood Chen, CEO of Global-PTT.
The launch of the G3 reflects growing market demand for Push-to-Talk devices capable of supporting workforce safety, operational efficiency, and reliable connectivity in remote and high-risk environments. Rugged PTT solutions with advanced durability, GPS tracking, and emergency communication features are becoming increasingly important across business and industrial sectors worldwide.
