Hytera, a leading global provider of professional communications technologies and solutions, successfully ensured seamless communications for the 25th Meeting of the Heads of State Council (HSC) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1.

The summit, one of China’s most important diplomatic events this year, was the largest SCO summit in history, attended by over 20 state leaders and 10 heads of international organizations. During this event, Hytera’s communications network demonstrated outstanding stability and reliability. At peak, over 16,000 of the 30,000 connected radios were online simultaneously, with the system handling more than 150,000 group commands and over 600 hours of voice communications without a single interruption, ensuring rock-solid, uninterrupted communications for the security organization.

Earlier this year, Hytera was entrusted to upgrade and expand Tianjin’s mission-critical communications network in preparation for the SCO Summit. Within two months, Hytera deployed 105 new base stations, conducted multi-brand device compatibility and seamless handover testing, and significantly boosted coverage and capacity. Hytera teams carried out exhaustive signal inspections at venues and security routes and deployed 10 ad hoc base stations and multiple layers of backup to ensure 24/7 reliability.
