JPS, leading provider of innovative radio interoperability solutions for mission critical communications and inventor of Radio over IP, has announced membership in TCCA, the global member-led organisation for the critical communications ecosystem.

Reliable communication, whether voice or data, is one of the most critical aspects of any industry. US-based JPS designs and manufactures products to enhance communications systems by enabling diverse radio frequencies to communicate with one another and with other audio devices (mobile phones, landlines, satellite phones, Internet, etc.)  This makes systems more versatile, more secure, and more robust, delivering cost effective solutions for Public Safety, Military, Government, Oil and Gas, and Commercial users. The company’s mission is simple – to help others and save lives.

JPS was founded in 1988 as JPS Communications, Inc. by Tom Jacks, Peter Pflasterer, and Don Scott. The original business plan was to design and sell ancillary products to high frequency radio manufacturers. JPS has since become a global leader in the communications industry, including inventing Radio over IP (RoIP) in the late 1990s and RoIP+ in the 2020s. RoIP expands Land Mobile Radio (LMR) coverage and has evolved to support additional functions critical to communications users, such as remote dispatching and interoperability.

“Joining TCCA was a strategic decision for us, as the platform provides invaluable access to European integrators and technology partners whose vision aligns with our products and solutions, strengthening our opportunities for growth and collaboration,” said Todd Dixon, JPS President.

In addition to RoIP, the JPS portfolio includes Push-to-Talk over Cellular integration, wide area communications and LMR coverage expansion.

“JPS has a long history in critical communications, and we are delighted to welcome the JPS team to TCCA’s global community,” said TCCA CEO Kevin Graham. “We look forward to the expertise and innovation they will bring.”
