JUMA has announced the launch of JUMA Technologies Ltd, a Kent, UK-based engineering and manufacturing business specialising in mission-critical communications equipment, led by industry specialist Howard Frankson.
Incorporated in June 2026, JUMA Technologies has been established to expand the JUMA Group’s engineering, product development and UK manufacturing capabilities.
The new business supports customers through the complete product lifecycle: concept and design, engineering, prototyping, testing, certification, production introduction and manufacture. Its capabilities span mechanical design and CAD, electronic product development, rapid prototyping, 3D printing, product testing, quality assurance, and EMC and environmental testing, from pilot production through to scalable manufacturing.
The business will work alongside JUMA Communications, supporting the continued development of its range of professional radio accessories and communications products, while also providing engineering and manufacturing services directly to external customers.
JUMA Technologies will also develop bespoke communications solutions for customers with specific technical or operational requirements. Operating from a manufacturing facility in Kent, JUMA Technologies will support organisations across the UK and internationally with responsive engineering expertise, flexible production and dependable manufacturing services.
The new company will be headed by General Manager, Howard Frankson, a well-known and highly experienced figure within the professional communications and audio accessories industry.
Andrew McLachlan, Managing Director of JUMA Communications, said: “We are excited to launch JUMA Technologies and strengthen the JUMA Group’s UK engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
“Howard brings extensive industry knowledge and experience to the role. He is ideally placed to establish JUMA Technologies as a trusted development and manufacturing partner for the professional communications sector.”
Howard Frankson, General Manager of JUMA Technologies, added: “I am delighted to lead JUMA Technologies and help build a business focused on responsive, commercially driven product development and manufacturing.
“We are looking forward to working with customers to turn innovative ideas into robust, reliable and production-ready solutions for professional and mission-critical applications.”
The launch reflects the JUMA Group’s wider commitment to British engineering and manufacturing, and strengthens its ability to bring new communications technology to market.
