SEOUL, South Korea â€” CybertelBridge has announced its participation in the Korea Coast Guard's AI-Enabled Digital Vessel Program, supporting the deployment of a secure standalone communications network designed to strengthen onboard operational capabilities and accelerate the adoption of AI-enabled maritime technologies.

The initiative aims to establish a dedicated communications infrastructure aboard Korea Coast Guard vessels, providing a resilient operational environment capable of supporting onboard AI servers and AI-integrated applications. The standalone network is designed to maintain secure internal communications even when external connectivity, including satellite communications, is unavailable or unstable, ensuring uninterrupted operations during demanding maritime missions.

As part of the program, CybertelBridge will supply a comprehensive suite of mission-critical communications technologies tailored for maritime operations. The deployment includes VM65 TDD-LTE devices and rugged smart pads for frontline personnel, an LTE service platform supporting secure onboard communications and integration with vessel broadcasting systems, an integrated communications module connecting onboard IoT sensors, and a closed Private LTE architecture that enables reliable vessel-wide connectivity independent of external communication networks.

By combining Private LTE, edge computing, IoT connectivity, and AI-enabled operational systems, the project is expected to enhance situational awareness, improve operational coordination, and support real-time decision-making for crews operating in challenging maritime environments.

The project also reflects the growing digital transformation of maritime public safety organizations, where secure broadband communications are becoming increasingly important for supporting next-generation command and control capabilities. As coast guards and maritime authorities continue modernizing their fleets, resilient onboard communications infrastructure is emerging as a critical foundation for AI-enabled vessel operations.

For CybertelBridge, participation in the Korea Coast Guard program further expands the company's experience in public safety and maritime mission-critical communications while reinforcing its capabilities in delivering Private LTE solutions for government and critical infrastructure customers.

The deployment underscores a broader industry trend toward integrating AI, private broadband networks, and connected operational technologies to improve maritime safety, operational resilience, and emergency response. As governments continue investing in intelligent vessel platforms and digital public safety infrastructure, secure onboard communications are expected to play an increasingly central role in future maritime operations.
