Sentiv, a mission-critical communications and intelligent technology solutions provider formerly known as Altron Nexus, has announced the acquisition of a majority equity stake in South African Internet of Things (IoT) specialist Visiosoft.
The transaction marks a significant step in Sentiv’s growth strategy, reinforcing its ambition to build an integrated ecosystem that combines mission-critical communications, IoT hardware, and intelligent software platforms.
Visiosoft is recognized for its expertise in advanced IoT hardware and data-driven solutions, particularly in sectors requiring real-time situational awareness and operational efficiency. Through the acquisition, Sentiv will provide operational, technical, and strategic support to accelerate product innovation, expand deployment capabilities, and scale market reach.
Reshaad Sha, Executive Chairman of Sentiv, described the deal as a strategic move to enhance the company’s next-generation communications platform. He noted that Visiosoft’s strong IoT hardware and firmware capabilities complement Sentiv’s existing ecosystem, enabling the combined entity to deliver more integrated and intelligent solutions for customers operating in high-stakes environments.
Visiosoft also emphasized the transformative nature of the partnership, highlighting that Sentiv’s expertise in communications infrastructure and large-scale deployments will support the rapid scaling of its IoT solutions.
The acquisition aligns with Sentiv’s broader vision to evolve into a provider of managed, annuity-based services across mission-critical communications, IoT, and intelligent systems. By embedding IoT hardware and analytics into its core offering, the company aims to deliver more context-aware, predictive, and resilient solutions across public safety, industrial, and enterprise sectors.
Sentiv was established following a management buyout of Altron Nexus in 2025, as part of a strategic transformation into a platform-led technology company focused on intelligent, mission-critical solutions.
