Tait Communications has been shortlisted as a finalist for the PwC Hi-Tech Company of the Year at the New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards, reinforcing its position as a global leader in mission-critical communications technology.

The award is widely regarded as the most prestigious accolade in New Zealand’s technology sector, recognizing companies that demonstrate exceptional performance across innovation, financial growth, strategic vision, and sustainability. Finalists are selected by an international judging panel from across the global hi-tech ecosystem.

Tait’s inclusion in this elite category highlights its continued success in delivering open, interoperable communications solutions that support public safety, transportation, utilities, and critical infrastructure sectors worldwide.

Commenting on the achievement, CEO Yoram Benit said:“Being named a finalist once again reflects the strength of our global strategy and the dedication of our teams. We are proud to represent New Zealand on the world stage as we continue to innovate and support mission-critical operations.”

The company stands alongside leading New Zealand innovators including Aroa Biosurgery, Auror, Dawn Aerospace, Gallagher Group, and Halter.

Tait also maintains a strong legacy within the industry, sponsoring the Flying Kiwi Award—an honor first awarded to its founder, Sir Angus Tait, in recognition of his pioneering contribution to the sector.

With the New Zealand hi-tech sector now valued at over $23 billion and playing a critical role in exports, the awards highlight the growing global impact of Kiwi innovation.

The winners will be announced at the official gala event on May 22, 2026, at Spark Arena in Auckland.
