A unique opportunity to gain insights into the critical work of the TCCA – The Critical Communications Association and the Global Certification Forum is being offered to the wider industry for the first time. An interactive workshop focusing on Mission Critical Services (MCX) certification will take place in Hong Kong on 24 April 2026, providing rare access to discussions typically reserved for members.

The free-to-attend workshop will showcase the work of the joint GCF/TCCA Mission Critical Services certification workstream and will be held immediately following the Critical Communications World Asia. Participants will gain valuable insights into the GCF certification programme for MCX products and solutions, including real-world implementation experiences and perspectives from stakeholders across public safety authorities, technology vendors and the testing community.

The session will be led by industry experts Asif Hamidullah and Harald Ludwig. Presentations will explore key topics related to MCX Device, MCX Client and MCX Server certification, while also outlining the technology roadmap, certification timelines and expected adoption across public safety and other critical communications sectors.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage directly with experts and discuss the future direction of Mission Critical Services certification as the ecosystem evolves.

The next generation of Mission Critical Services, delivered over 3GPP-based networks and devices, is expected to transform how critical communications are deployed and operated. With standards, certification frameworks and ecosystem collaboration currently taking shape, industry stakeholders are working to define the scope and impact of these technologies for the years ahead.
