BAI Communications (BAI) today announced the completion of its acquisition of Titan ICT, an advanced communications engineering company specialising in dedicated networks for the mining, resources and energy industries. Titan ICT now becomes a BAI Communications company, as BAI furthers its vision to become a trusted provider of telecommunications solutions.
As part of the acquisition, Titan ICT—a respected and high-performing provider in the Australian market—brings deep capabilities in LTE, Microwave, IP and Radio networks, along with longstanding customer relationships that include some of the country’s largest organisations and blue-chip mining companies.
This acquisition significantly expands the service offering that BAI and Titan ICT can provide to the private mobile network sector and operational communications networks. Combining BAI’s access to spectrum, financial strength and track record in managing mission-critical networks with Titan ICT’s market positioning, capability and experience in designing and building networks will enable compelling solutions for customers.
Peter Lambourne, CEO of BAI Communications, said: “Bringing Titan ICT into BAI solidifies our position as a leading mission-critical network provider and increases the opportunities for new and specialised projects driven by our talented teams. Titan ICT’s expertise in private LTE deployments further strengthens BAI’s competitive position as we look to leverage our spectrum allocation to support and accelerate the expansion of our communications offering, including for the delivery of private network solutions.”
The completion of this acquisition will bring together complementary strengths in engineering, integration, and large-scale mission-critical network operations. It will broaden BAI’s capabilities in private wireless and critical communications, while reinforcing its national footprint across diverse industries and regions.
Chris Upstone, Managing Director of Titan ICT said: “We share a cultural and operational alignment with BAI that will ensure our customer-centric approach remains a priority into the future. Additionally, our combined expertise in segments such as private LTE and managed services, puts us in an exciting position to scale, drive growth in our customer solutions and new development opportunities for our people.”
Commenting on next steps, Mr Lambourne added: “our immediate focus is to combine the capabilities and talent of our companies to best serve the mission critical connectivity needs of our customers, while ensuring continuity and support for the outstanding work Titan ICT is delivering in the market.”
News of the agreement between the two companies was first announced on 28 July of this year.
